I know this is kind of boring, but found a helpful article in typeface pairing. I am really interested in learning more on this so I researched a few and this one was helpful in that alot of people put comments and input on their knowledge of type pairing.

Generator
typoGenerator
Stumbled across this interesting idea of creating a small typographic montage, you just enter in some text, and keep clicking generate new...
text style
text color
background color
until you find one you like.
This is a great idea, just for when we need a little inspiration or are lost when creating type pieces.

vitamin
I noticed on this vitamin water bottle, the placement of type at an angle works. I used to like using this technique a lot in the beginning of typography, looking back it never really helped the piece. This works because the use of a grid the align vitamin with the white space and water with the grey. It makes vitamin pop out at you. Also the placement of glaceau works, as it is pocketed into the letterforms that ascend above the x height.

Emigre
http://www.emigre.com/
I came across the website of my type designer, Zuzana Licko's magazine, Emigre. It is a really interesting website with alot of information about her philosophies on design and her type. She also has some type specimen books that are cool to look at regarding her type design.

taste
http://vimeo.com/687456
This is a type in motion video. It reminds me of kind of technical boring monotone movies we watched in high school and middle school, but it works for the video. The graphics grab your attention and the language is somehow interesting in the monotone voice. The last line caught my attention good typographers make type taste good.

tO
A brand logo is redesigned for each product to incorporate the image of the vegetable used in the beauty product. This one uses the cucumber for the inner circle counter form of the letterform o. Also the combination of typefaces from serif at the top to a thicker more childlike font to a simple sans serif.

Anthropologie catalogue
The way in which the type was handled for this catalogue was really interesting. It was nicely done how they created symmetrical pages with type in the same shape as the clusters of photos. The leading and rag were all handled well.

24 detail
Looking at the details and texture in typography, I noticed this in a magazine print. The placement of the 24 is nice at a larger scale and the bolded callouts of brands in addition to the italic sub line under lauren conrad is really well done in regards to typographic detail.

Urban
Found this typeface on an urban outfitters bag. I like the separation of strokes on the letterforms, especially the B. It is an effective design especially with the style on a cardboard looking bag. I feel it goes well with the urban style.

Move
I stumbled across this online, its called wearable lettering by Amandine Alessandra. I thought it was an interesting concept in that type can have movement. It refers back to our use of type and creating a sense of texture and movement across the eye.

lululemon
A store called lululemon has a neat design on their bags. There is somewhat of a grid use in the design of the quotes. It is a little cluttered, but I think it works. Each quote is aligned in a neat way. Also the use of the white on red, and the arbitrary lines are a nice touch.

Mrs. Eaves
I came across the use of Mrs. Eaves typeface in Anthropologies website. The upward T on scent caught my eye as it is a defining characteristic of Mrs. Eaves.
